I work with good quality art material that make my paintings truly come to life. Oil paints are not an easy medium to work with and care for but that’s where I have researched and studied the correct and proper way to use oils to ensure great care and detail within my paintings.
Normally you are meant to leave a painting for a couple of months to properly dry then apply a gloss or matte finish. Obviously I cannot do this considering time limits so I add a work in progress varnish which protects the painting for shipping. However I always say to my customers that they are always welcomed to send the painting back to me to varnish a final coat in the future to ensure ultimate protection of the painting as paintings do fade over time and get dusty.
